What is JUUL?

JUUL is an easy to use vaporizer designed for adult smokers looking for a genuine alternative to smoking cigarettes. The body of the device contains the battery (which has been through rigorous stress testing), a patent-pending temperature regulator and a set of sensors to give readings on the device’s charge level and to sense when you are vaping.

The atomizer comes contained inside our JUULpods, which carry the proprietary JUULsalts™, an e-liquid formula based on nicotine salts rather than freebase nicotine. The benefit of the JUULsalts™ is that you get a fresh coil in each pod so you don’t have to replace it, and no setup is required. The JUUL device is rechargeable via the magnetic USB charger and takes roughly one hour to charge fully. Pods click into the top of the JUUL device and also serve as your mouthpiece.

What makes JUUL unique?

JUUL believes that adult smokers interested in switching from cigarettes should be offered high-quality alternatives that satisfy them, because satisfaction is a key component to supporting their switch to vapor. In an effort to serve existing adult smokers, JUUL's approach to vaporization technology is unique:

  • JUUL accommodates cigarette-like strength nicotine levels via JUULsalts™, the proprietary nicotine salts formula, in order to meet the satisfaction standards of cigarette smokers.
  • JUUL devices use smart temperature-regulation technology to heat the material to an optimal level of vaporization, without ever reaching a state of combustion.
  • JUUL devices are easy to use, to mirror the simplicity that smokers are accustomed to and make switching to vapor products as convenient as possible.
  • JUUL devices incorporate high-quality materials, including medical-grade plastics and natural flavors to enable a superior experience.

Do I have to clean JUUL?

Although JUUL does not require much maintenance, we do recommend using a dry or slightly moistened cotton swab to clean the charge contacts and inside JUUL where the pod is inserted.

What's the best way to store JUUL?

It is best for the battery's longevity to ensure that the device is not stored for more than 2 weeks with an empty charge. When storing the device for a month or longer, it is best to charge the device fully and remove the pod before storage.

As with all products containing nicotine, the JUUL device should be stored out of the reach of children and pets.

Can I take JUUL on an airplane?

We recommend referencing the comprehensive list of items prohibited by TSA. JUUL is safe for travel, but most airlines restrict the use of vaporizers. Exposure to extreme altitude changes, like flying on a plane, may cause slight leakage in JUULpods especially if they are partially used. We recommend not flying with partially used pods or disposing of them before getting on a plane and using a fresh one when you land. You may continue to use a JUULpod if some liquid has escaped, but carefully wipe the liquid off with a clean cloth or tissue before inserting into your device.

How long does a charge last?

Depending on your use, a full charge will last roughly one full day or about as much as one JUULpod.

Can I overcharge the battery?

JUUL's smart-charge technology is designed to minimize the risk of overcharging.

How many puffs can I get on a full charge?

Depending on your use, a full charge will last about as much as one JUULpod. One JUULpod is about 200 puffs, however, individual vaping patterns may vary.

How do I dispose of a JUUL device?

We design our device to be reliable and strive to exceed our 1-year Limited Warranty period -- this is not a disposable item like many other e-cigarettes. For disposal purposes, JUUL should be treated as any other consumer electronic device, such as a cell phone. We suggest following your city's local recommendations for disposing of a lithium-polymer rechargeable battery.

Where do I find my JUUL Serial Number?

The JUUL Serial Number is eight characters (letters and numbers) engraved on the back of your device, just below the JUUL logo. It is not printed on the packaging or in any other location. For clarity, JUUL serial numbers will always use the number 0 (zero) and not the letter O (as in Oscar).
